I WILL OPEN YOUR GRAVES

SERMON TOPIC: I will open your graves.

BIBLE TEXT: Ezekiel 37: 11-14
Key Verse 12 “ Therefore prophesy and say unto them , Thus saith the Lord God; Behold , O my people, I will open your graves , and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel” .

The grave is physically a place for burying the dead, or a pit for disposing anything useless and without worth.

From the lead bible text in Ezekiel 37: 11 , the bible explains the grave as a place of dryness, hopelessness and obscurity. Spiritually, the grave is:

1. A life of rejection, blacklisting, and decaying (Isaiah 42:22)

2. Existing under the shadow of infirmity (Job 33:19-24)

3. Being at the mercy of destiny wasters (Proverbs 1:12)

4. A life of Anti-God’s covenant. That is, wearing a spiritual helmet that blocks God’s anointing from reaching and settling on the head. For example Gehazi in 2kings 5:1-22

5. Sitting under a spiritual authority and being a captive to satanic powers. E.g. Judas Iscariot (John 12:4-6) , Prophet-in-training under Elisha in 2kings 4: 1

However, no matter the description attached to any life inside a grave, Jesus Christ who is known as the Resurrection and Life (John 11:25), when he appears before any grave , it opens and let go that which was buried for God to be glorified. Are you experiencing any of the above grave-like syndromes?

Quit writing yourself or your family off, for God shall open up your graves, and when that happens:

1. He shall bring you out,

2. He shall put His spirit in you,

3. He shall place you in your own land,

4. Ye shall live, and

5. He shall make you acknowledge Him as God.

What to do for God to open your grave:

1. Repent of any known sin (Act 3;19)

2. Pray through God’s word like Jabez did in 1 Chronicles 4:10

3. Be in good connection with God’s anointing (2kings 13:21 , Isaiah 10:27)

4. Be hospitable like Lazarus’ family (John 12:1-3)

May God bless His words in your life and magnify His power through it in Jesus Christ Name, Amen. God bless You.
